Bar Cards by Guerrilla Barware
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Bar Cards ("the App") is a cocktail recipe app made by Guerrilla Barware. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and how you can delete it.
1. Information We Collect
Automatically, for everyone:
- Anonymous user ID — created the first time you open the App, so your saved cocktails can be stored. On its own it isn't linked to your name or email.
- Saved cocktails — your liked, favorite and to-try lists.
- Usage analytics — through Google Analytics for Firebase: events such as app opens and which recipes are viewed, plus device and app information (device model, operating system and app version, and an approximate country/region that Google derives from your IP address). We do not collect your advertising identifier.
- Push notification token — only if you allow notifications. Used to send announcements such as new recipes, new products and promotions.
Only if you create an account (optional):
- Email address and password — used to sign in and to keep your saved cocktails if you change phones. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see or store them in plain text.
- Profile details you choose to add — a display name, a "mixology level", and a profile picture. If you upload your own photo, only that single photo is uploaded; the App does not otherwise access your photo library.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- Precise location
- Contacts, messages or other photos from your device
- Phone number
- Payment information — any purchase happens on a third-party store's website, not in the App
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the App's features and sync your saved cocktails and profile across devices
- To send push notifications, if you allowed them
- To understand which features and recipes are used, so we can improve the App
We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising.
4. Third-Party Services
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, push notifications, analytics and web hosting. Firebase Privacy & Security
- Online stores — product cards in the App can link to third-party stores (for example Amazon). When you tap a shop button you leave the App, and that store's own privacy policy applies. Some product links may be affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission on a purchase at no extra cost to you.
5. Data Sharing
We share data only with the service providers above, which process it on our behalf to run the App, or when required by law.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
- If you have an account: delete it at any time in the App under Profile → Delete account. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, your email address, your saved cocktails, your profile details and your uploaded photo. You can also request deletion on our account deletion page.
- If you don't have an account: the only data stored is your saved-cocktail lists under an anonymous ID. Uninstalling the App removes it from your device; contact us if you'd like the server copy deleted as well.
- Usage analytics are retained by Google Analytics for up to 14 months and are not linked to your email address.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to stored data is restricted so that only you can read or change your own saved cocktails and profile.
8. Recipe Pages and Shared Links
Each recipe also has a public web page at app.guerrillabarware.com/recipe, opened from a card's QR code or from a link shared with the App's share button. Anyone can view it without the App or an account. On that page:
- We keep an anonymous count of how often each recipe page is opened and whether the visit came from a QR code, a shared link or another link. Nothing about the visitor is stored with that count — no name, account, device ID or IP address — and the page uses no cookies. Like any website, our hosting provider (Google Firebase) keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for a limited time for security and operations.
- Your oz / ml choice is remembered in your own browser's storage and never sent to us.
- When a link is shared, messaging apps may fetch the page's title, photo and ingredient list to show a preview; that is public recipe information only.
If you have the App installed, these links open the recipe directly in the App instead.
9. Age Requirement
The App contains alcohol-related content and is intended only for adults of legal drinking age in their country (18 or older, or older where the law requires). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you believe a minor has used the App, contact us and we will delete their data.
10. Your Rights
You can access, correct or delete your data at any time — most of it directly in the App, or by contacting us. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under local law, which we will honor.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the most recent revision; significant changes will also be announced in the App.
